About Our Club

For decades our Club has been a popular destination and an important part of the Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch social scenes. In addition to polo, our Club’s spectacular grounds and venues are home to a variety of community and social events including concerts, festivals, theater, sporting events, charity fundraisers, corporate meetings and elegant weddings. Our entire facility, grounds and pavilion can be rented in part or as a whole.

Meet Our Staff

Mason Wroe

Director of Polo

Mason joined the club as Director of Polo in 2019, to cultivate and grow the sport both on and off the field. Mason enjoys bringing fun, competitive polo to the Sarasota Polo Club and Lakewood Ranch communities.

Paige Lautzenheiser

Director of Operations

Paige joined the Sarasota Polo Club staff in 2018, and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2019. You can find her running around on Sunday’s, but don’t be afraid to stop her and introduce yourself!

Ron Trytek

Director of Sales & Marketing

A Chicago native, Ron grew up riding retired racehorses on a thoroughbred farm in Barrington Hills, IL. He has spent much of his career working at Ritz-Carlton hotels throughout the world. Ron joined our team in 2018. In 2021 Ron won the “Networking King” award for the LWRBA – Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. He is passionate about connecting people and promoting the Sarasota Polo Club.

Basil Lowell

Facilities Manager

Originally a New England native, Basil has spent 13 years in Florida as a golf course superintendent and turf expert on both the East and West Coasts. He has prepared turf and facilities for many PGA Tours events including the 2017 PGA Championship. He joined the Sarasota Polo Club management team in the Summer of 2023 to help us achieve even greater levels of improvement to our fields and facilities.

Bradley Hendrix

Announcer

A professional polo announcer for 17 years, this season will be Bradley’s fourth year with the Sarasota Polo Club. Also announcing during our off-season at the Brandywine Polo Club in Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania and the Meadow Brook Polo Club in Long Island, New York. When he is not announcing polo, Bradley hosts trivia shows and DJs on the weekends. He also
volunteers for several charities throughout the year and spends his free time hiking.

Bryan Zdancewicz

Director of Maitenence

Bryan joined our team in 2018 and was promoted to Director of Maintenance in 2019. He is passionate about his work and eager to solve all kinds of challenges.

Hollis Onetto

Events Coordinator

Hollis is an enthusiastic new staff member, as the Sarasota Polo Club was a cherished winter home to her polo-playing family for over a decade. During the summer, she proudly works for Oak Brook Polo Club in her home town of Chicago.

Jason (Poncho) Davis

Turf & Maintenance

Jason joined the Sarasota Polo Club Field Staff in 2018 Poncho, as most people call him, is often found flagging the game on Sunday’s…barefoot!

Nicholas Chavez

Turf & Maintenance

Nick joined the Sarasota Polo Club Field Staff in 2012, and has been an integral part of the crew since then. On Sunday’s, you can likely find him in the end zone, flagging the polo match!

Tucker Reback

Turf & Maintenance

From Charlottesville, VA Tucker is a former carpenter and 1-Goal polo player. He worked for George Alexander and Blackberry Polo Club for many years, and is now excited to be helping the Sarasota Polo Club.

Welcome to the 2024 Sarasota Polo Season. Sunday Polo matches are open to the public every Sunday at 1pm, December 31st 2023 through April 7th 2024. Gates open at 10am. Sunset Polo Happy Hour is every Thursday, March 14th 2024 through April 11th 2024. Join thousands of fans each week for exciting polo action, opening parade, live national anthem, theme weeks, half-time entertainment, food, drinks and traditional divot-stomping.

Fieldside general admission tailgating, reserved tailgating, reserved midfield premium seating or VIP midfield boxes are available for Sunday Polo. Children 12 and under are free, (general admission tailgating). Dress comfortably & for the weather. Remember, you will be walking on grass. Well-socialized dogs are welcome on a leash.
